The Englewood Woman's Club was organized in 1896 and its first president was Frances Stuart Parker. Also in 1896, the club incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois and joined the General Federation of Woman's Club and the Illinois Federation of Woman's Clubs. One year later, the club became a member of the Cook County League.
